Princess Pegasus in Spring Filled Korea!

Traveling is one of my favorite things. I can't seem to stay put in one spot for too long, unless I'm intensely distracted with arts and crafts or anything that will get me distracted. Hence, the name Princess Pegasus (you can blame my boyfriend for that). And it doesn't matter too where I go as long as there's something I can take out of the trip. 

However, this year was extra special because my sister turned 18! Woohoo adult life! We were initially setting out to go to Japan during the summer (cherry blossoms anyone?!) But we changed to Korea, the southern one, instead. Great timing too because my stepdad had business to do there, so he had his supplier/colleague/friend help us out during the trip.

My first impression of S.Korea, I LOVE SPRING!!! I just really truly deeply do! We arrived early in the morning and was greeted by a lovely chilly breeze. Ooh layering! Layer all the clothes seriously! It was Easter Sunday and our hotel was literally steps away from the cathedral, so that was the first thing we did. Oh, and right across the church is Cath Kidston (let me expound my madness for her on a different post).

When we were still planning out to go to Japan I already researched on the different places I needed to visit for arts & crafts. The sudden change of destination left me with very little research on places to see for my crafty supplies. Nonetheless, I was able to find this everything store (no, that's not the name because I forgot) in Nandaemun where I got a couple of the best ink pads there is in the world. Myeongdong area had a lot to offer too. They had those little boutique stores of trinkets (I died). And of course DAISO!

I swear by StāzOn ink pads. If you're into stamping you should get one every day of the week haha!

I was also planning to take some workshops on calligraphy and washi paper making. Unfortunately, I couldn't find calligraphy workshops online when I was in the PH still. Bop in the head because when we visited Hanok Village, there were traditional calligraphy classes, guh! Also they had paper making workshops but was way out in the country side. All was well though because I had paper aplenty from Insa-dong!

This trip was definitely one that will go down to must go back to list. I wasn't able to fully explore the places (and take tons of photos because it was all too distracting). Also, there are classes to be taken there and crafty places I have yet to discover. You haven't seen the last of me Korea! I shall be back and hopefully during spring too!
